Listed among the ‘30 most beautiful towns in Europe’, Lefkara is the village where the Cypriot folk handicraft is born. It owes its welfare and prosperity to the exquisite handmade lace known after the name of the town as Lefkaritikon.
Leonardo da Vinci, the big Renaissance artist, visited Cyprus in 1481 and bought a big table cloth, which later donated to the Milan Cathedral.
The village is also famous for its silverware and architecture.
A delight …for Royals!
In 1925, Lefkara delights were presented at the British Royal Exhibition and received a prize for their taste and aroma. They were also proposed to be included in the preference list of the Queen.
Since then, many more prizes followed, maintaining this local family workshop, for 113 years now.
KATO DRYS VILLAGE
Experience luxury… in simplicity! The architecture of the village, a typical specimen of local architecture from the 19th century, gives an irreplaceable expression of the wealth and variety of its cultural background, complimented by the artwork that adorns the street walls.

The Local winery of Kato Drys invites us to a challenging wine tasting to remember! We follow through the process of wine making from the grapes to the wine.
A village that certainly maintains traditions!
A visit at the restored (with the help and contribution of its residents) Oil press and Flour meal museum is mandatory.
The museum is a result of an age-long, practical need, experience and inventiveness of the human mind, sample of our folklore culture and part of our cultural inheritance.
